Rest of Galicia and Portugal from Allariz

Allariz is well connected by road to the main tourist attractions of the area such as the "Rías Baixas" (The Galician fjords) with its albariño wines, local gastronomy and its beaches. A catamaran ride through the immense river canyon with its near vertical vineyards in the Ribeira Sacra is a must as is a visit to the hot pools of Ourense. Allariz is close to Chaves, a major border city of northern Portugal and only an hour to the Portuguese port wine area of the Douro.
